A Statement on Accusations Made Around Camp Trans 2010
In Regards to Recent False Allegations Made Against Me
August 8th, 2010
It was brought to my attention Friday evening that false allegations that I had allegedly written a letter implicating people at Camp Trans in involvement in potentially illegal activities, and allegedly planned to deliver it to Michigan Womyn’s Music Festival (Michfest) but did not, and allegedly abandoned it when leaving Camp to somehow be found by someone who then propagated this information throughout Camp Trans, leading to allegations being made that I intended to snitch on attendees of Camp Trans. My name is Haley McCarthy from the Public Health department at Southern Connecticut State University and I am writing to invite you to participate in my research study. This is a study about the health care experiences of transgender individuals. You may be eligible if you identify as transgender, are 20 to 50 years of age and live in Connecticut.
If you decide to participate in this study, you will be asked to participate in a 2-hour focus group and may also be asked to participate in a one hour follow up in-depth interview. Participants will be partially compensated for their travel and child care expenses. [Read more →]

We have come to celebrate and remember ~ Trans PRIDE New England
A most fantastic day with over 500 queer, trans and other comrades marching through the streets of Northamptom. I will post pics, vids and comments in a day or so, though posting a few simple words I shared with those at the Transgender PRIDE Rally… Btw Mr. Metroline Editor and John Crowley: Miss Major a Stonewall Trans Vet opened the ceremonies (or would you like to revise her hirstory to be an assimilist gay/lesbian Stonewall Vet?)
Sylvia Rivera would be proud today and I have no doubt she is smiling upon us; as so many trannies, gender non-conforming, genderqueer and whatever other labels one decides to ascribe to themselves gather here to make a visible statement that OUR TIME has come and we control OUR DESTINY.This Trans Pride March and Rally, which is a statement of VISIBILITY and Empowerment, has special significance not solely because the Trans movement for Employment equality has been sold out by the established corporate indoctrinated gay organizations and politicians; BUT also because of the decades of Trans oppression that our sisters and brothers have experienced!
